To New Beginnings and Revamping

It's been so long since I have updated this blog, but that's how life goes. Here are some of the highlights of the last couple of months.

February: I produced a two night show! The first night, I had my first public play reading of Backstage Story and the second night was We're Too Talented To be this Sad: Part 2! It was such a great night full of energy and emerging talent. Every time I do that show, it reminds me that I have so many talented and awesome friends.

March: We had a fundraiser for Sorry We're Closed! I got to host and produce a show that had some amazing stand up and musical performances. It was a great night and I was so happy that we were able to get the word out about Sorry We're Closed! I even sang a song with the amazing Chloe Hogan!

April/May: Rehearsals for Sorry We're Closed continued. It was both fun and challenging being a writer, actor and producer for this show. It was my first time being seen as a writer and I'm so thankful for the experience. During this time, I was also the lighting designer for Bettye and the Jockettes with Retro Productions. Being a multi-hyphenate is WILD!

May: Festival Premiere of Sorry We're Closed! Our shows were SOLD OUT, which was so crazy to me!

June: I breathed! Sorry We're Closed was a LONG process. Theater doesn't happen in a day. If you know, you know, ya know?

July: It was summer. I was writing more. Editing ideas. Did some small shows. Laughed. Thought of my next steps. Made so much music.

August: I became a co-producer for Songwriters Rounds at Houghton Hall Arts Community. This month event is a space for songwriters in the city to come together and share their work. Follow @writersroundnyc for my details!

September: I got new headshots! I hope you enjoy them! I really do. Shout out to Mia Soriano Photos!

It was time for a change and a revamp. And I'm incredibly proud of that.

On to the next adventure!
